中石化苗栗廠傳工安意外 檢修員遭煤炭掩埋亡
中石化苗栗頭份廠區今天(1日)發生工安意外，一名人氣產品排行榜檢修員在檢修煤炭輸送機時，遭輸送帶上的煤炭掩埋，經搶救脫困時已無生命跡象，送醫不治，事故原因仍待進一步調查。
苗栗縣消防局指出，下午1時45分接獲報案，位於頭份市的中石化廠區發生工人遭煤炭掩埋意外，立即派救護人車及器材車趕往救援，到場時，發現一名工人受困距離地面約15公尺的運送管道間內，遭煤炭掩埋。
消防局表示，據中石化廠區人員描述，因煤倉內的煤炭輸送機故障，30歲蕭姓檢修員在約15公尺高的運送管道間內檢修輸送帶時，不慎被輸送帶上的煤炭掩埋。
為協助傷者脫困，消防隊請廠區人員以乙炔切割機切開鋼板，並架設滑輪組，以籃式擔架將蕭男由高處送至地面，但當時已呈OHCA(到院前心肺功能停止)，隨即由救護車送往為恭醫院搶救，仍宣告不治。
事發後，中石化主管代表公司慰問家屬，允諾提供必要協助，同時啟動內部調查，希望釐清事發原因。（中央社）
交通部長吳宏謀上任 推動觀光品質
【台灣醒報記者藍苡瑄台北報導】新任交通部長吳宏謀16日與賀陳旦進行交接，就遇到台鐵產工在交通部外抗議台鐵下半年將公司化！他受訪時說，「我已請相關人員留下來見面，了解詳情，未來要兼顧原來員工的權益和整體台鐵將來發展的永續，希望創造雙贏。」被問到未來是否繼續推動台鐵公司化，他認為要先跟他們溝通，尊重不同聲音，現在還沒決定是否繼續推動。
「我今天承接賀陳旦部長先前的良好基礎，將推動安全、效率、品質、創新、永續等核心價值。」吳宏謀說，將落實於國家的重要交通政策中。不過甫上任就遇到台鐵產工10多人聚集交通部外抗議台鐵公司化，台鐵產工擔憂若公司化之後就會隨之而來變成民營化，以及各種影響社會弱勢權益的營運方向，甚至會造成公共安全危機。台鐵產工呼籲吳宏謀向產工幹部公開辯論。
吳宏謀回應，未來會兼顧員工的原有權益，以及來體台鐵的永續發展，表示尊重不同的聲音。他認為台鐵公司化推動中有一定的理由，現在會先跟台鐵員工溝通，現在還沒決定是否持續或是延遲推動公司化，尚未把話說死。
「賀陳旦部長任內關心交通安全問題，上任後交通致死率減少兩倍，」政務委員張景森監交時說，賀陳旦任內強力執法酒駕、推動高齡駕照等，值得肯定。觀光方面，他推動國家觀光發展轉型，陸客減少後，思考如何結構轉型，連續三年國際旅客都超過千萬人。
「我內心百感交集，因為交通部工作繁重，我跟賀陳部長是接力賽，他訂定了良好基礎。」吳宏謀致詞說，感謝前部長對國家交通安全日益精進，並持續推動整體公共運輸。他早上也跟賀陳旦表示，未來有些政策會持續進行並加速辦理。像是移動性污染會配合國家政策，包含電動車與交通運輸推動。
被問到前瞻基礎建設已延宕許久，有外界質疑是否有可能是為了選舉綁樁，他回應，「現在是規劃設計階段，這不可能綁樁，這是為了國家整體的交通發展。」至於高鐵15日表示，內部增加兩位資深副總，他認為高鐵現在是民營公司，所以交通部會尊重獨立個體組織運作，重點在於未來如何提升品質與競爭力。
日前有近百名學者連署反對鐵路立體化，要求彰化市鐵路立體化、嘉義縣高架延伸等審查案暫停，吳宏謀說，發展軌道運輸是國家發展公共運輸綠色交通非常重要的動脈，穩定安全且運量高。有些高架化不做不行，因為現在人口聚居，必須降低交通不安全性等，高架化、地下化是必然趨勢。
「觀光遊憩將來旅遊品質一定要提升，有時為了便宜卻把品質拉低，這對整體台灣觀光發展不好，」吳宏謀認為，現在很多新的觀光商業模式結合交通，搭飛機、來郵輪台灣玩，讓陸、海、空互相合作。
